Rural Electricity Policy Will Be Introduced This Year.

Shen Danyang, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, said 17 this year, the Ministry of Commerce will launch a new special plan of action for e-commerce. The core is to standardize and promote the development of e-commerce. Among them, promoting e-commerce in rural areas and agricultural products is the main content. He also revealed that the Ministry of commerce is working with relevant departments to formulate the "guiding opinions on accelerating the development of rural e-commerce", with emphasis on four aspects: information transformation of traditional circulation network in rural areas, construction of e-commerce platform for agricultural means of production, development of e-commerce for agricultural products and expansion of rural e-commerce services.

E-commerce is developing very fast in China. According to incomplete statistics, the total volume of e-commerce transactions in China reached 13 trillion yuan in 2014 and 10 times in 10 years. From the recent work arrangements of relevant ministries and commissions, the rural e-commerce will be the direction of development in the next few years.

In addition to the two policies on the agenda, the Ministry of commerce also stressed that this year, greater efforts will be made to promote the development of e-commerce in rural areas, mainly by continuing to promote "e-commerce into the countryside".

Since last year, the Ministry of Commerce has worked with the Ministry of Finance in Hebei, Henan, Hubei and other 8 provinces and 56 counties to carry out this comprehensive demonstration work. On the one hand, it promotes the large electricity providers such as Alibaba, Jingdong, Suning, and many express enterprises to lay out the rural market; on the other hand, it encourages traditional enterprises such as supply and marketing, postal services to actively develop integration in the rural areas.

Five days before the Ministry of Commerce announced a series of policies to push forward the rural e-commerce, the four departments, including the Ministry of communications, the Ministry of agriculture, the China national supply and marketing cooperative and the State Post Office, have just issued joint opinions on promoting the healthy development of rural logistics and speeding up the modernization of service in agriculture in March 12th.
