The impact of the global financial crisis on the garment industry in Kampuchea may not be more obvious until next March. The situation in the garment industry may be even more difficult next year.

Kampuchea economic analyst Xu Guangfa said in an interview with reporters recently that the global financial crisis will mainly affect the clothing industry and tourism industry in Kampuchea.

Xu Guangfa said that this year's orders were processed by the Kampuchea clothing factory this year, so it is not affected by the financial crisis at present, but the shortage of demand will be highlighted next year.

He also said that most of the garment factories in Kampuchea rely on loans. The credit squeeze caused by the financial crisis will cause problems in the sources of funding for garment factories.

At present, some garment factories have been closed and employees are out of work.
