Lianyungang: China Kazakhstan Base Imported Whole Train Cotton Yarn For The First Time

Recently, 50 container trains loaded with cotton yarn imported from Central Asia successfully arrived at the Sino Kazakhstan logistics base. The train was sent from Uzbekistan, entered through Khorgos port, and was distributed to North China by domestic trade railway. This is also the first time for China Kazakhstan logistics base to import the whole train of cotton yarn, which will help the port to grow steadily.

Chen Jun, manager of the production and operation Department of Sino Kazakhstan International Logistics Co., Ltd., said that under the support of new channels and new businesses, Lianyungang port has continuously improved its international intermodal transport network, given full play to the advantages of land sea intermodal transport channel, and gradually showed a new pattern of international hub seaport. The international train has gradually shifted from the initial stage of market-oriented cultivation to the track of high-quality operation.

It is reported that the opening of the special train for imported cotton yarn is conducive to promoting Lianyungang port to realize the "pendulum type" two-way convective transportation pattern, and plays a positive role in creating a new Eurasian land sea intermodal corridor connected by Lianyungang Horgos, deepening the business cooperation between Lianyungang and Central Asian countries, and strengthening the strategic positioning of Lianyungang as an "international hub seaport".

Since the beginning of this year, Lianyungang port has made full use of the downward floating policy of Horgos Lianyungang East bound train, relying on the port's efficient, convenient and perfect collection and distribution system, and cooperated with relevant logistics enterprises to run import trains again. In the next step, Lianyungang port will further strengthen the business linkage with overseas customers and surrounding cities, optimize and integrate resources in many ways, give full play to its geographical advantages, and continuously expand the breadth and depth of participation in the "double cycle" both inside and outside.
