According to the Daily Star of Bangladesh, on November 5th, the price of leather products and leather products in Bangladesh continued to deteriorate due to the influence of 3 billion 500 million tucas on the leather goods sold by the leather factories. Bangladesh's exports of leather products fell for the 3 consecutive year, down from US $1 billion 230 million in the 2016/17 fiscal year to US $1 billion 80 million in the 2017/18 fiscal year, and the export of leather products in the financial year 2018/19 is only US $1 billion 10 million. The poor situation of the industry led to the backlog of tanneries, a large backlog of raw leather traders, and a large amount of credit sales and arrears for raw leather acquisitions and tanneries to purchase raw materials.
