The twenty-sixth China East import and Export Fair, called "China trade barometer", was closed in Shanghai on the 5 day.

During the five day session, about 3000 Chinese foreign trade enterprises achieved an export turnover of US $2 billion 310 million, a decrease of 9.97% over the previous session, indicating that the export outlook for 2016 will continue to tighten.

According to "

East China Fair

According to the organizers, this year attracted about 21 thousand and 500 overseas buyers, from 114 countries and regions, and the total number of merchants increased slightly by 1.2% compared with the previous year. However, the turnover did not increase, but it dropped by nearly 10%. This shows that the demand of the international market is still not showing signs of improvement.

Exit

The downward task is grim.

Statistics show that the current "China Fair" achieved an export turnover of 1 billion 386 million US dollars for the Asian market, an increase of 6.63% over the previous session, and a turnover of US $797 million in the US and EU market, down 16.12%.

Japan, the United States and South Korea ranked the top three in terms of export turnover, of which $797 million was exported to Japan, an increase of 22.24%; exports to the United States amounted to $350 million, an increase of 1.48%; exports to South Korea were $215 million, a decrease of 3.04%.

The "China Fair" focuses on traditional costumes, textile fabrics, household items, decorative gifts and other traditional commodities.

The organizers said that the export turnover of this exhibition fell by nearly 10%, which reminded many Chinese traditional export enterprises to accelerate the pformation and upgrading, and to enhance the quality, technology and service level by creating foreign trade brands to consolidate the international competitiveness of "made in China".

Shanghai City

Co sponsored by Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces is the largest regional international economic and trade event in China. It is held in Shanghai in early March of each year. It is the first exhibition of China's foreign trade.

Shen Weihua, Deputy Secretary General of the "China Fair" working committee and deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Commerce Commission, said that although the buyers and sellers of Europe and the United States attracted 2.83% growth over the past year, the export turnover showed a 16.12% decline. This shows that the prospects for the European and American markets, which are the main export targets of China, are not optimistic. Chinese foreign trade enterprises need to expand relevant emerging markets such as "one belt and one road" and create a diversified export market for Chinese goods.
