Hongkong's Cutting-Edge Designers Will Shine In New York Fashion Week For The First Time.

2016 spring and summer fashion week in New York was held in September 16th. Four outstanding designers in the Fashion Guerilla training program in Hongkong released their new work for the first time in New York fashion week.

These four designers have studied professional design in western countries, and in this fashion week in New York, they can also own their own showroom to let customers choose their ready-made clothes.

The four Hongkong designers brought their own brands to participate in this event.

They are: Methodology, Daydream Nation,

The government also contributed to the designer team's participation in fashion week in Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai.

The Hongkong government has launched this program to train and develop more outstanding Hongkong fashion designers, and designers participating in this training plan have the opportunity to participate in fashion shows in different regions to gain more experience.

The founder of Methodology, Glori Tsui, studied design in Losangeles and England, but later because her family lived in Hongkong, she chose to go back to Hongkong.

She designed 30 fashion models for this fashion week and released 14 of them in the show.

Glori Tsui said, "this season's inspiration comes from the mountain peak, meaning the independent women."

In 2006, Kay Wong and his three friends creatively belonged to their own fashion brand, Daydream Nation. His creation merged the ideas of heaven and earth and the phenomena of real life.

The brand already has more than 80 stores in 10 countries, and even Juliette Binoche and Ke$ha are their fans.

Daydream Nation won the Hongkong outstanding design award for three consecutive years and won the white Milan women's wear award in 2008.

Wong has studied professional textiles in London. According to the designer himself, the brand originally intended to be set up in London, but because the material prices in London were much more expensive than in Hongkong at that time, we went back to Hongkong to set up again.

Eugene Leung founded Injury in 2004. He was born in Hongkong and later emigrated to Sydney, Australia. The brand has men's wear and women's wear and two independent product lines, which are sold in Australia, Asia and the United States.

Leung said that this season's fashion week in New York was inspired by futurism in science fiction.

Gideon Tam founded the menswear brand Placed by Gideon in 2006. He was born in Macao. Later she went to England to learn costume design. After graduation, she went to France to work for a while and then went back to Hongkong to create her own brand.

He said frankly, "the road of entrepreneurship is very difficult. Although I set up the brand headquarters in Hongkong, I spent a lot of time communicating with foreign designers."
