Swedish fashion retailers announced this week's report on the sustainable development of awareness action in 2014, which revealed the results in the past 12 months.

The highlights include the introduction of a new animal welfare roadmap and the use of 100% certified wool from 2018 and the use of certified wool from 2016.

H&M also hopes to reduce its impact on the climate by using renewable energy as far as possible by the end of 2015. By the end of this year, the electricity consumption from existing levels to about 80% will grow three times.

Since the (2014) H&M double donation clothing collective initiative.

In 2014, more than 7684 tons of textiles were collected, up to 3800 tons of cloth and T-shirts.

The new goal is to increase the volume of products made from recycled fiber, which will reach at least 300% by the end of 2015.

In addition to expanding the list of publicly available factories, the retailer also reached an agreement with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to strengthen the fair negotiation and working conditions of global garment production.

"Now the company is considering the next step. We are the first large-scale fashion brand to disclose the most important factory names and locations. These factories provide fabric and yarn to our suppliers, accounting for about 35% of the company's products.

We hope that this will continue to enhance industrial pparency and further drive positive changes. "

However, although H&M said that the company has seen positive developments in many respects and committed itself to the fair minimum wage in the supply chain, its process has been criticized by the labor rights organization, which has called for evidence to support its proposition.

The company has been testing the so-called Fair Wage Method, developed by the independent fair wage network (Fair Wage Network), currently in 3 demonstration plants, 2 in Bangladesh and 1 in Kampuchea.

H&M said that although its development process began shortly, the initial results from the first plant were encouraging.

Overtime has decreased by more than 40%, wages have increased and pay structure has improved because there is dialogue between management and workers.

At the same time productivity has also increased.

The retailer said the plan aims to expand the work to all its strategic partners by 2018.

It is estimated that 60 of the list will be included in the test in 2015.

Karl Johan Persson

"We continue to talk with the government," he said.

They need to start work, such as adjusting the minimum wage regularly and establishing a legal framework for fair and functional collective bargaining.

I have personally met with the prime ministers of Bangladesh and Kampuchea, and recently discussed the issues with the Minister of Commerce of Bangladesh.

However, it has been suffering from the development process.

Clean clothes

Clean Clothes Campaign criticized the organization for requiring H&M to produce evidence to support its fair minimum wage statement.

The organization says that H&M's pay for less workers and the marketing capital from workers' poverty, which is not immoral, will slow down the development of the industry.

Carin Leffler, Clean Clothes Campaign, said that despite the H&M's announcement of its partnership with the International Labour Organization, the education plan of the Swedish Trade Union and the rich statement of fair wages, H&M has shown disappointing concrete progress in the progress of the minimum wage so far.

H&M is striving to gain a reputation for sustainable development, but the effectiveness of local workers remains to be seen.

The clean clothing movement has further criticized the H&M wage scheme, including the lack of effective figures to define their minimum wage commitments, and how the brand chooses to launch a pilot scheme of factory wages with output of one hundred percent.

Creating pparency in supply chain is called another important step. The list of suppliers extended for the first time includes two suppliers, concentrating on the most important fabric and yarn factories, and supplying their factory output.

In H&M's report, it is pointed out that by publishing the list of suppliers, the company will further enhance the sustainability of supplier performance and improve its performance.

Similarly, we encourage our suppliers to disclose their social and environmental impact reports and directly integrate them into local stakeholders.

It adds that pparency is the key to our supply chain management and can be a catalyst for positive change.

The company is one of the first fashion brands to publish the list of suppliers, which covers almost 100% of the production volume of the group. Even our suppliers' foundries are undertaking certain tasks such as washing or dyeing.
