The average price of standard grade spot is 59.44 cents / pound, up 0.92 cents / pound from the previous week, down 20.43 cents / pound compared with the same period last year.

In the week, the seven spot markets in the United States traded 153598 packs, down 18531 packets from the previous week, an increase of 51743 packs compared to the same period last year.

On December 2014 19-25, the AWP price was 47.66 cents / lb.

The report points out that some textile mills will have 7-10 days off during the Christmas and New Year holidays, and the textile mills plan to rest for 3-4 days.

US cotton exports are generally in demand.

The factory purchased 3 grade cotton shipped in January next year, and the Far East textile factory has an inquiry for cheap cotton.
