About Animal Leather

Animal leather is a kind of natural leather, that is, what we often call dermis.

It is a kind of fixed and durable material converted from animal (raw hide) after a series of physical and chemical processing. It has the advantages of softness, toughness, water resistance, deformation, drying, shrinkage, heat and moisture resistance, chemical resistance and so on. It has the special advantages of good air permeability and aging resistance.

The processing of animal leather is very complicated, and the process of making finished leather involves dozens of processes: raw skin, soaking, removing meat -- degreasing - hair removal - alkali leaching - expansion - deashing - softening - acid pickling - tanning - split - cutting - retanning - neutralization - dyeing, filling - filling - drying - finishing - finishing - finished leather.

There are also many kinds of animal leather. According to the material, sheep leather, cow leather, horse leather, snake leather, pig leather and crocodile leather are commonly used. They can be divided into two layers of leather, full grain leather, suede leather, modified leather, laminated leather, composite leather and finishing leather.

The two layer leather refers to the leather that is crushed in leather processing by chemical and physical means.

This kind of leather is hard, easy to break, and not enough to extend.

Full grain leather: leather that is retained and used on the original surface (growth or scale) of animal skin, called positive leather.

The full grain surface is not directly used for coating. Most of them are beautified and coated, such as embossing. The raw materials used for full grain leather require high strength of raw materials, and the processing requirements are high. They belong to high-grade leather, and the surface of the leather is completely retained in leather and its fastness is good.

It is very thin and keeps the leather's soft elasticity and good air permeability. Its finished products are comfortable, durable and beautiful.

Suede leather: refers to

Cashmere leather, which is made of leather positive (long hair or scale), is called "upright velvet". It is called "velvet" made of leather back (meat surface). It is made of two layers of leather. It is called two layer velvet. Because the suede leather has no coating layer, its permeability is better and its softness is more improved. However, its waterproofing, dust-proof and maintenance properties become worse.

The finished products of suede leather are comfortable and hygienic, but besides the suede leather made by oil tanning, the suede leather is easy to dirty and is not easy to clean and maintain. It is mainly used for making leather shoes, leather garments, leather bags and gloves.

Refers to some or completely remove the original surface of animal skins, and then apply artificial film on the top, with the top layer modified leather and two layers of modified leather. Most of the surface film is made of various chemical materials and has been repeatedly painted and pressed for some patterns. Some of the finishing leather is pferred to the leather surface by pre production chemical film, also known as film pfer leather or film leather. The modified leather is mainly used to make up for the insufficient surface of the material, its air permeability is poor, its fastness is low, its folding resistance and aging resistance are reduced, and it is less comfortable to wear than the full grain leather, but its water resistance is good, and it is easy to clean and maintain.

Composite leather refers to a rubber film on the split skin and has good chemical resistance.
