Her major is system engineering and entrepreneurship.

When she was a junior, she started a salad restaurant called Green Bean.

In the 2012 global student entrepreneur Grand Prix organized by entrepreneurs, she entered the final.

As a young entrepreneur, Sarah Haselkorn has encountered many difficulties and challenges in her business, and she has shared her own experience and solutions.

< p > there is no doubt that becoming a young entrepreneur is a double-edged sword.

< /p >

< p > when I was a sophomore at University of Washington, I had the idea and plan to open a "Green Bean" healthy restaurant.

At first, I kept a secret of my family and friends because I was worried that they would say I was too crazy and wanted to do business so young.

But I finally decided to break the silence and tell my parents about this.

I still remember clearly that I was sitting at their bedside with fear and trembling, telling them this important decision.

They can feel my nervousness clearly.

When I said I wanted to open a restaurant, I was surprised to see that her mother's eyebrows were gradually expanding.

When they learned what I thought, my mother felt relieved that she thought I was pregnant.

< p > through parents, this is just one of the many difficulties that young entrepreneurs need to face.

As a young entrepreneur, especially a non technology venture, it is very difficult to get recognition.

As a service facing the vast number of consumers, the success depends largely on the first impression, which makes it even more difficult.

< /p >

< p > although age is just a figure, it poses many challenges to a rising entrepreneur.

Here are the great difficulties I have encountered and how I overcome them: < /p >

< p > 1. cautious.

As my parents responded, they were shocked when I told them that the restaurant they were eating was opened by me.

< /p >

< p > when a href= "//www.sjfzxm.com/news/index_s.asp" > Customer < /a > found that I am so familiar with business, I will ask if I am the boss of this shop.

When I answered, their response was always, "Wow, you are so young!" I always shrugged with a smile.

"Nothing is impossible."

I said, the key is not to let others think you can't.

As a young entrepreneur, you have to work harder if you want to prove yourself.

You will never be perfect, and you will make mistakes all the time.

In the face of failure, learn from your mistakes and become more mature.

Confidence and humility will benefit you all your life.

< /p >

< p > 2. stable investment.

My first advice for young entrepreneurs who plan to start a business is to choose projects that do not require many start-up funds, because it is too difficult to get investment, especially from banks.

Unlike VC and angel investors, they need good personal integrity and financial history.

However, it is really not easy to create a project that does not require much start-up capital.

< /p >

< p > for banks like me that are unlikely to attract venture capital but require lots of initial investment, banks may be more suitable.

However, this is not easy.

In fact, the best way is to own your assets.

The easiest way is to ask friends and family for help.

Sell yourself, and hope that your intelligence and dedication will help them to provide financial assistance to you.

Even if they are unwilling or unable to help you at the moment, they may consider giving you a loan to enhance your credibility in the bank.

< /p >

< p > for young entrepreneurs, especially those with bad credit record or for the first time, another option is to pay attention to those companies with high risk.

Remember, these companies may be able to provide you with capital, but often usury.

< /p >

< p > 3. contact with friends.

Friends can be your sponsors (I am an example). They never know what you are thinking.

Vice versa.

You can't understand why they spend hours in the library and don't understand that they complain about getting up only once a week.

< /p >

< p > but it is important to maintain close ties with your peers in the process of growing up.

So make sure you can separate your work from your life.

Sometimes, you are a child, sometimes an adult.

If you can do all two, that means you are smart enough.

The growth of entrepreneurs is not smooth sailing, and youth has increased unexpected difficulties.

Beyond them, you will become a more successful "a href=" //www.sjfzxm.com "enterprise < /a" home.
