It was found that PFCs was detected in all 14 samples, especially the more toxic perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).

8 of them detected high concentration of perfluorooctyl alcohol (FTOH).

Toxic substances such as plasticizers and nonylphenol were also detected in some samples.

Yang Zhimin told reporters that perfluorinated compounds (PFC), such as perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), are widely used as textile oil and water repellent surfactants because of their hydrophobic and hydrophobic properties.

These man-made fluorocarbons are very stable. If they enter the environment, they will be difficult to eliminate.

The standard does not mean that it can not be used.

According to media reports, Zhu Qinghua, a researcher at the CIC light industry, told the media that harmful perfluorooctanoic acid in perfluorinated compounds is ubiquitous in outdoor brand sportswear, which is not restricted in the testing standard of Chinese outdoor clothing.

However, the following standards stipulate the relevant detection methods: GB/T 23243-2009 stipulates the detection standard of perfluorooctane sulfonyl compounds in food packaging materials; the local standard DB33/T 749-2009 of Zhejiang province stipulates the testing standards for perfluorooctane sulfonate and perfluorooctanoic acid in textiles and leather; and the standards for the determination of perfluorooctane sulfonate in leather and textiles are stipulated in the People's Republic of China entry exit inspection and quarantine standard SN/T 2449-2010 and SN/T 2842-2011.
