The delegation also includes Clothing export AEPC, the Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), and representatives of various textile and garment associations such as the development and Export Promotion Committee of the power loom (PDEXCIL).


The delegation also includes representatives of garment manufacturers and exporters.


Rishad Bathiudeen, Sri Lanka Minister of Commerce and industry, said he hoped the visit would help further expand Sri Lanka's clothing exports to India.


Last year, Sri Lanka exported $50 million of textiles and clothing to India, of which only 25 million 560 thousand of clothing exports were exported.
