Quanzhou Is The Second Largest Sports Shoes Production Base In The World.

Quanzhou, Fujian, is the world's production base for sports shoes. According to statistics from local authorities, the export volume of footwear in Quanzhou accounts for about half of Fujian's total and 1/8 of the country's total, second only to Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, ranking second among the five largest export footwear bases in the country.

At present, Quanzhou has more than 3 thousand export footwear enterprises and more than 2 thousand supporting shoe materials enterprises, forming a pattern from baby shoes to adult shoes, sports shoes to slippers and leather shoes.

According to statistics, last year, Quanzhou exported more than 103 thousand batches of shoes, more than 800 million and 1 million pairs, valued at more than 2 billion 400 million and 3 million dollars, a record high.

According to the industry analysis, Quanzhou footwear exports have overcome the impact of EU anti-dumping investigations, labor shortage, RMB exchange rate adjustment, export tax rebate rate reduction, foreign technical barriers and other factors. The export value growth has been maintained, and the share in overseas markets has been stable. Mainly due to the pformation of economic development mode in recent years, footwear enterprises have taken the lead in the international market by implementing the strategy of independent innovation and brand driving.

At present, there are more than 30 shoe-making enterprises in Quanzhou and international famous brands to establish production and marketing alliance. Many footwear enterprises set up business organizations in more than 20 countries and regions, such as the United States, Russia and Southeast Asia, to explore the international market in various ways.

According to statistics, in 2006, more than 50 footwear export countries and regions in Quanzhou increased to more than 80 last year.

In addition, there are 12 Chinese famous brand products in Quanzhou, which sell overseas and Chinese market, accounting for 11 of the 15 famous brand products of China's sports shoes, and have two export footwear exempt enterprises, accounting for half of the exempt enterprises of footwear export in China. The competitiveness of export footwear is rising and the average unit price is 16.5%.
