In order to commemorate Song Qingling, Song Qingling foundation of Shanghai inherited and developed her spirit of caring for women and children, contacted friendly groups and enthusiasts at home and abroad, developed the Chinese Welfare Association she founded by herself and the maternal and child health care and children's cultural, educational and welfare undertakings in Shanghai and China's remote and poverty-stricken areas, and contributed to enhancing international friendship and safeguarding world peace.
