According to the latest news of Uruguay, according to the analysis of the results of industrial products exported from March 2003 to September this year, the export prices of industrial products in Uruguay increased by 10.43% in the past nine months, according to the results of the 41 month industrial product export from March 2003 to September.

In the first 9 months of 2007, the export prices of processed food, beverages and tobacco in Uruguay increased by 15.39%. The prices of textile and clothing and leather products rose by 10.49% because of the rising prices of their raw materials; the export prices of wood, paper and printed products increased by 8.58%; the export prices of chemical and plastic products increased by 6.85%.

Meanwhile, in the first 9 months of this year, the export prices of basic metal products and non-metallic minerals decreased by 5.02%, while the export prices of metal products and machinery and equipment decreased by 4.43%.

According to the statistics of Uruguay's twenty-first Century Commission, the European Union and North America (Canada, the United States and Mexico) account for 65% of the total export volume of Uruguay in the first 10 months of this year, and have replaced the South Korean city as Uruguay's largest export destination.
