Exhibition Economy Shows "Vitality Tianjin"

The 2011 China Tourism Industry Fair, jointly sponsored by the National Tourism Administration and the Tianjin municipal government, will be held in Tianjin in from September 1st to 4th.

Figures show that in 2010, 158 exhibitions were held in Tianjin. The growth rate of the conference was maintained at around 20%, and the exhibition revenue reached 640 million. Meanwhile, the employment rate of the exhibition industry also maintained an annual rate of 10%.

Build an important national

In the "Tianjin Convention and exhibition, sports and cultural facilities construction plan" publicized by the Tianjin Planning Bureau, Tianjin has planned and constructed a number of specialized and large-scale exhibition centers since this year.

By 2015, Tianjin will build an important international conference, host city and Exhibition Center City, and have the ability to undertake large-scale conferences and exhibitions at home and abroad.

At present, the venues for exhibition in Tianjin include Tianjin Meijiang International Convention and Exhibition Center, Tianjin Binhai International Convention and Exhibition Center, Tianjin Sports Exhibition Center, Tianjin International Exhibition Center, etc.

Tianjin Meijiang International Convention and Exhibition Center, which has been completed for more than a year, is now the largest exhibition center in Tianjin. It has undertaken many international events such as the summer Davos forum and the Tianjin Conference on the United Nations climate conference. Now the two phase is under active construction. After completion, it will strengthen the function of exhibition service in the central city.

In addition, China International Convention and Exhibition Center is being selected for construction. It will build an international first-class exhibition center serving North China and radiating Northeast Asia.

At the same time, Tianjin will also build a professional convention and exhibition center combining the construction of industrial areas and the perfection of urban functions.

In June 28th, in the Tianjin Convention and exhibition industry development forum to celebrate the completion of the "Meijiang International Convention and Exhibition Center" 1st anniversary, the Tianjin Municipal Commerce and Trade Commission Exhibition Office released the draft opinions on Tianjin's promotion of exhibition industry development, which will play a role in escorting the development of the mice industry.

In the "measures", Tianjin has set up a special fund for the development of MICE industry, which is subsidized and rewarded for the development of exhibition projects, enterprises, venues and related supporting service organizations, training and introduction of exhibition talents, exhibition promotion and investment promotion.

At the same time, it will encourage exhibition activities and support international and national large-scale exhibitions, set up headquarters or regional headquarters of exhibition enterprises, and invest in large-scale exhibition venues.

At the Tianjin Convention and exhibition industry development forum, Chen Zeyan, executive vice president of the China Exhibition Economy Research Association, said that the prospects for Tianjin's exhibition industry are very good. The successful holding of the Davos forum in Tianjin marked a leap in the quality of the exhibition industry in Tianjin.

Tianjin's Convention and exhibition industry should focus on leading industries in Tianjin, such as Tianjin's aerospace industry, automobile manufacturing industry and electronics industry.
