The way to throw your resume with you may no longer work.

The following four mistakes, no matter what you commit, should polish your resume and change your way.

1. Lack of focus.

The first step in finding a successful job is to recognize your goals.

Specifically identify what you want to get in the next job or your next job position.

I've heard of countless job hunting people when asked what kind of job they want to find, saying, "I can do anything" or "do anything".

People who are willing to do anything can get nothing at last.

Look at your resume.

What are your goals? Avoid having no goals and list a few goals.

These two extremes are bad for you. It makes you appear unfocused, unresponsible and unqualified.

In our career, many people wear all kinds of hats. It's best to focus on one of them, or a clear position.

As far as resume is concerned, employers are more likely to look for people with strong understanding, expertise and development than those who can do anything.

So ask yourself this question: "what position am I suitable for?" and "what special problems can I solve?" this may be a clear position. If so, pay special attention to this position and then "qualify" on the list.

2. Ignore the most important questions.

Most resumes fail to answer employers' questions. "What is good for my resume?" employers have a problem, not a job.

This problem is usually related to money.

So look for ways that you can get them to return.

Usually a resume is only read for 20 seconds, so you have to answer this question quickly.

A good way to do this is to use a concise "unique sales proposition" (USP), which can make you stand out from competitors.

This USP is a simple sentence. It includes the following three important questions:

Who are you?

* your strongest place.

* what quantitative benefits can you bring to the company?

Your USP describes what you can bring to your employer.

Employees can make money or save money for employers.

You have to decide what kind of value you bring for the company.

The best statements usually mix dollars or percentages, or how much time can be saved in a certain period.

Three

Sales.

Skill and service life

Skill is just a useful thing.

Throw away the age-old mentality of job related skills or years of service that are all sales factors.

The latest idea is to regard yourself as a mini profit and consumption center instead of being an employee.

Today's employers agree with the result that they are rarely touched by a string of skills listed by their employees.

Instead, you can prove that your performance in the past and present is suitable for the next employer.

How can you turn yourself into the assets in the company's final accounts? Or in that case, focus on whether you can make money for the company or save money.

Consider problems beyond your skills and responsibilities, and list every possible situation that you can accomplish.

For example, you are a video photographer doing a wedding or something else.

Before you hand over your final work, take a step further to show all your post production results.

You can save hundreds of hours of extra work for your boss.

This plates into the potential savings of thousands of dollars for your boss.

This is just the kind of thing you should write on your resume.

If possible, try to monetise your achievements, or to give concrete value in terms of achievement.

By enumerating several specific ways that you can help your boss make money or save money (or save time), you can stand out in your competitors quickly to attract the attention of the reader.

4. undifferentiated delivery resume

Once you have a good resume, how to send your resume is also important.

Most job seekers bombarded their resume with posts on job boards or websites.

In fact, some places still need to collect money, but is this really the best way?

Speaking of the current financial crisis, Recruitment Executive Neil McNulty said, "now more than ever before, job seekers need to change their views, from shifting the net to finding opportunities." crises and chaos will not affect opportunities, even if the opportunities are at the worst of the economy. "

This means that as a job seeker, you must go beyond the boundaries of the job boards, and introduce yourself to managers who are facing some problems that you can solve.

It may be difficult at the beginning, because it means you have to do extra research and call people you don't know and communicate with them further.

But these conversations will win you an introduction, interview and next job, especially when you have a good resume.
