But as the economy recovers, the domestic sales and export orders of Dongguan footwear industry are increasing.

In fact, since June, China's export situation has gradually improved.

According to the statistics of Guangdong customs, the total value of import and export trade of Guangdong in 1~8 this year is US $485 billion 590 million, of which footwear exports amounted to US $8 billion 410 million, an increase of 21.4% over the same period last year.


Changes in the export situation of China's footwear industry have also contributed to the prosperity of the industry.

The scale of the shoe show is expected to exceed the first half of the spring shoe exhibition.


According to the organizers, the exhibition will increase the number of new product launches and special events. This is the beginning of the Dongguan footwear industry's emphasis on its own brand.

In recent years, influenced by factors such as financial crisis, raw material cost and trade policy, Dongguan footwear industry is developing towards product innovation and brand promotion, so as to realize the pformation and upgrading of the industry.


"Making a brand is not a matter of one or two days. It takes years of long-term investment, and the most important thing is the marketing and promotion of products, which is very difficult to break through in a short time."

Zhou Weidong, deputy general manager of Dongguan Nanfeng international leather shoes materials trading center, told reporters that Dongguan footwear industry has the world's advanced shoe making technology, but the lack of design innovation and promotion.


Statistics show that there are more than 4000 shoe making enterprises in Dongguan.

Shoe material

There are more than 2000 shoe machine supporting enterprises, with an annual output of over 1 billion 500 million pairs of shoes. It is the most important distributing center for the related products such as shoes, leather, shoes, shoes and so on, and has a complete supporting supply chain, but most of them are foundries and no independent brands.
