Indonesia Includes Clothing Labels Act

The Ministry of trade of Indonesia issued a labeling law, which mainly deals with the distribution and sale of non food products in the domestic market, including

clothing

,

shoes

Class and so on.

The regulations require that the product labels should be in Indonesian language and include the following information:


(a) product name and / or

brand

Name.


(b) manufacturer's name and address (locally produced products).


(c) importer's name and address (imported product).


(d) country of origin (manufacture).


Labels for different products should contain additional information.

For example,

clothing

It should also include:


(E) material type and composition (fiber synthesis).


(f) size.


(g) guidelines for nursing.


For different products, the location of labels is also different, such as products or packaging, or both.


For the products not currently sold in the Indonesian market, the effective date of the regulation is July 2010, and the effective date for the distribution and sale of the existing products is December 2010.
